Product Description
- Consto Bond LT is a polymer-modified cementitious ready-mix tile adhesive mortar for glazed & ceramic tiles, on internal flooring/walls. It forms a waterproof barrier between two surfaces and has excellent grab properties.
- Consto Bond LT can be used on cementitious & self-levelling screeds.
- This adhesive is recommended for tile sizes up to 300 mm x 300 mm and having more than 3% porosity. A thin layer of bedding of neat Consto Bond LT shall be applied for durable tile fixing work.

Surface Preparation, Mixing & Application
Surface Preparation
- The surface should be free from voids, holes and cracks, and thoroughly cleaned of all loose material, dust, sand, oil, grease, etc.
- Ensure that the surface is flat, structurally sound, and free from any other contamination that would reduce the bond strength.
- Pre-wet the surface and ensure it is touch dry before the thin-bed adhesive is applied.
Mixing
- Fill a clean pot with potable water measuring 22-26% of the weight of Consto Bond LT (approx. 4.5 litre per bag of LT).
- Pour LT into the water and knead slowly to make a homogeneous paste. Let the mixture stand for 2 minutes, then mix again without adding more water.
Application
- Apply the LT paste on a clean, pre-wet base surface from bottom to top, evenly, to form the bedding layer of required thickness using a notched trowel. Remove any extra LT for reuse.
- Spread no more than the area that can be tiled within the open time of the adhesive.
- Fix the tiles by pressing & twisting so no air gap is left, then set with a wooden hammer. LT allows a correction time of 10-12 minutes for re-alignment (open time varies with site temperature).
- Remove extra material with a wet cloth. Periodically check that good contact is maintained with the back of each tile.
- Leave adequate joints between individual wall and floor tiles unless self-spacing tiles are used.
