Mixing, Application & Curing
Mixing
Pour dry mortar into the stipulated quantity of clean water to prepare a homogenous, well-blended green mix. After initial mixing, wait 5 minutes and re-mix without adding more water, to let entrapped air release. Can be mixed manually or with a machine.
Application
- Splash the mortar uniformly for a well-distributed, even plaster layer.
- Do the initial and final finishing in a staggered manner as the mortar sets.
- Avoid premature finishing - over-working can crack the surface.
- Apply fibre or chicken mesh over RCC–masonry joints to prevent cracks.
- Never plaster under direct sun on a hot summer day.
Direction for Use
- Thoroughly clean the wall/ceiling surface - free of oil, grease, dust, or loose material.
- Set correct level markings/guides on the surface before starting.
- Pre-wet lightly if needed; a thin 3–6 mm undercoat improves bonding before the main coat.
