Surface Preparation, Mixing & Application
Surface Preparation
- The substrate surface should be Clean, dust free, and free from traces of oil or chemicals
- The surface has to be dampened with potable water before application (without any surface water or Moisture)
Mixing & Application Methodology
- Add Constogrout CL2 to clean potable water (water to powder ratio 14-15%) in the mixing pot.
- Mix Mechanically until a homogeneous paste is obtained
- Allow to stand for 2 minutes for polymer additives to dissolve then remix again.
- Pour into the location to be grouted within 30 minutes.
- Finish the surface with wooden/metallic floats.
- If the thickness of the grout Exceeds 75mm use of 5mm to 10mm well-graded clean aggregate is advisable. The quantity may be varying as per the thickness and the maximum quantity allowed is 25kg per bag i.e. 1:1 ratio. Water should be added an additional 1 to 2% of grout or as per consistency required.
- Curing is required only for exposed areas.
- Do not add more water

- Do not mix excessively, use the material immediately after mixing

Shelf Life & Storage
Consto grout CL2 is available in 25 kg bag and has a shelf life of 6 months from the date of manufacturing if stored in unopened original packing, under shade in dry and moisture-free conditions.
Health & Safety
Consto Grout CL2 is non-toxic, wear protective clothing, gloves, and eye & face protection. After contact with the skin, wash immediately with plenty of clean water. In case of contact with eyes, rinse thoroughly and cleanse immediately with plenty of clean water and seek medical advice.
Pot Life, Open Time & Adjustability
Time varies depending on the service condition viz, temp, humidity and wind factor. These are typical test values obtained during our laboratory tests, site mixes may show slight differences in performance due method of application.
