A high polymer modified, ready-mix cementitious tile adhesive for large format tiles & natural stones on the floor, and medium format tiles & stones on the wall - suited to internal areas and also recommended for external floor application. XXT forms a waterproof barrier between two surfaces with excellent grab properties, covering approximately 1.4 kg per sq. m per mm thickness from each 20 kg bag.

Product Description
- Consto Bond XXT is a high polymer modified cementitious ready mix tile adhesive mortar for long-lasting Large Format tiles and natural stones on the floor, and medium format tiles and stones on the wall in internal areas.
- Consto Bond XXT is also recommended for external floor application. It forms a waterproof barrier between two surfaces and has excellent grab properties.
- Consto Bond XXT can be used on cementitious & self-leveling screeds. A thin layer of bedding of neat XXT shall be applied for durable tile fixing work.

Surface Preparation, Mixing & Application
Surface Preparation
- The surface should be free from voids, holes, cracks and thoroughly cleaned of all loose materials, dust, sand, oil, grease, etc.
- Ensure that the surface is flat, structurally sound, and free from any other contamination that would reduce the bond strength.
- Pre-wet the surface and ensure it is touch dry before the thin bed adhesive is applied.
Mixing
Fill a clean pot with potable water measuring 22-26% weight of Constobond XXT (approx. 4.5 lit per bag of XXT). Pour XXT into the water, knead slowly to make a homogeneous paste. Let the mixture stand for 2 minutes, then mix again without adding more water.
Application
- Apply XXT paste on a clean, pre-wet base surface from bottom to top, evenly, to form the bedding layer of the required thickness using a notched trowel. Remove any extra XXT for reuse.
- Spread not more than the area that can be tiled within the open time of the adhesive.
- Fix the tiles/stone in the required position, pressing & twisting so that no air gap is left, and set with a wooden hammer. XXT allows a correction time of 10-12 minutes for realignment - the open time itself is extended in lower temperatures and shortened at higher temperatures. Remove extra material with a wet cloth.
- Check periodically that good contact is maintained with the back of each tile.
- Leave adequate joints between individual wall and floor tiles unless self-spacing tiles are used.
